What is an Event Camera?

An event camera is a type of imaging sensor that operates in a fundamentally different way compared to traditional cameras. While conventional cameras capture images by continuously sampling the scene at fixed intervals, event cameras detect and transmit changes in brightness (intensity) on a per-pixel basis.
